Editorial policy

Noctara aims to describe astronomy clearly, carefully, and with a sense of proportion. We separate established explanations from uncertainty and make corrections when the record calls for them.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against reliable, relevant material before publication and review details such as terminology, dates, and descriptions of visible events with care. Where information depends on location or changing conditions, we say so. We do not present speculation as established fact, and we revise text when a meaningful error is identified.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial arrangements. Partner or sponsored material is identified clearly where it appears, and a commercial relationship does not guarantee favorable editorial coverage. We do not accept payment in exchange for presenting advertising as independent editorial work.

Corrections and illustrations

Readers can flag errors through the Contact page. We assess each report and correct confirmed mistakes, updating the relevant article where appropriate. Some illustrations on Noctara may be AI-generated; such images are illustrative rather than observational evidence and should not be mistaken for photographs of celestial objects.
