Write for Noctara

Noctara welcomes original pitches that help readers understand astronomy or notice the night sky with fresh attention. We value a clear idea, careful explanation, and a point of view grounded in the subject.

What we are looking for

Pitch concise explainers, observing perspectives, histories of astronomical ideas, or thoughtful accounts of how celestial patterns can be understood. Strong proposals name the question at their center, explain why it matters to a curious reader, and show how the piece will add something beyond a list of facts.

How to shape a pitch

Send a working title, a short description of the proposed article, its likely category, and any relevant writing samples or background you wish to share. Flag uncertainties, location-dependent details, and specialist terms that need explanation. Please propose original work and mention if the idea has been submitted elsewhere.

Where to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; we consider fit, clarity, originality, and the care the subject needs.
